I haven't been able to be as involved in the campaign as a volunteer as much this year as usual due to situations beyond my control. I still did volunteer some time with Tea Party events earlier in the year and attented a GOP event when Michael Steele came to my home town to campaign for Meg and Carly in his fire Pelosi bus. I did do precinct walking getting a reminder and voter guide to all the GOP registered voters in my precinct, a large one, and tomorrow after work I'll vote and then man a phone bank to get GOP voters to the polls. Then there will be a victory party at a local hotel lobby/restruant. I am a firm believer in the idea that one should not complain about what we get in government if we don't bother to vote. I also believe that while venting/sharing oour views on the vine is important, that if one really cares alot about their views one should get directly involved hands on to some extent to support their positions. I was most involved in the 1980 election as a college Republican for Reagan and then to support the re election of President Bush in 2004. I never worked longer hours or more determinedly in a campaign as I did in 04 to get well above a 90% GOP voter turn out in every pricinct in my home town and county and many others did likewise in battleground states. My question to all who reply is what did/are you doing to support your beliefs/values/party thhis election cycle?
What we are doing to promote our political values/beliefs this year
