Barack Obama has gone from the "one we've been waiting for" to the one we can't wait to kick out.  No one ever thought one man could bring the nation to its knees, but here he is living in the White House.  And on our knees we have been, praying for the day when he leaves.

The audacity of a president hell-bent on destroying our great nation has truly been a stunning spectacle to observe.  No lie is too ridiculous to tell about anyone who opposes him.  With a compliant media behind him, the smears this demagogue-in-chief promises to unleash on his opponent this fall could divide the county so badly that it becomes ungovernable.

The societal tensions Obama promised to ease have worsened by his politics of envy.  The racial healing he promised has fallen flat, leaving only a worse divide.  Despite overwhelming opposition, he forced a health plan on the people that few want.  He has trampled on the Constitution and infringed on powers granted to Congress.  He has bailed out auto companies, investment bankers, and insurance companies.  He has given constitutional rights to terrorists.

Obama's greatest transgression, however, has been the explosion of government spending to the point where we are enslaved to a mountain of debt that can never be repaid.  He has given us $1.6-trillion deficits and will have added more than $6 trillion to the debt by the end of his term.  He has raised the percentage of GDP consumed by government to 25 percent.  And all his spending has stimulated nothing.

Barack Obama will probably go down in history as the worst president of all time. Until now, historians have long given that dubious distinction to James Buchanan, who left office to Abraham Lincoln as the nation was falling apart and headed toward civil war. It is no exaggeration to say the 2012 election is every bit as important as was the 1860 election. James Buchanan at least had good intentions. The same cannot be said for Barack Obama. His intent is not to build up, but only to tear down the nation, and then to cover his tracks. There is no other way to explain his actions.

Millions of Americans, however, have finally had enough. A counterrevolution is rising to a level rarely seen in our history. There hasn't been this intensity of grassroots activity since the abolitionist movement of the 1850s. People are making themselves visible in the community. They are organizing rallies and call-in campaigns. They are studying the Constitution, and they will not be silenced by charges of racism or any other falsehood uttered by the left.

And when the new president is sworn in, collective relief will be felt across the land.

As if on cue.

Economic Gains, Questions on Romney Boost Obama’s Prospects for November

Fifty percent of Americans in this new ABC News/Washington Post poll approve of Obama’s job performance, the most since spring. Fifty percent say he deserves re-election, better than Bill Clinton at the start of his re-election year and as good as George W. Bush a month before he won a second term. And Obama now leads Romney among registered voters by a slight 51-45 percent, the first time either has cracked 50 percent in a series of matchups since spring.

Two chief factors are at play. One is the economy’s gradual but unmistakable improvement, marked by the newly reported January unemployment rate of 8.3 percent, the lowest since a month after Obama took office. The president’s approval rating on handling the economy, while just 44 percent, is its best in 13 months.

Get some good ear plugs America, we're going to hear a LOT of conservative squealing and lying between now and November.

One last interesting point from the poll

Notably, 52 percent in this poll, produced for ABC by Langer Research Associates, say the more they hear about Romney the less they like him – double the number who like him more.

Let the crying, lying and squealing commence!

Long way til election there, tracy. But I have to agree with the article - Obama has been a disaster from day one with the executive orders he signed. And it has not gotten any better since. Just compare these two (and this is just foreign policy) during the Arab Spring that Obama thought was so great:

IRAN: He did not stand up for democracy in Iran when the people were being slaughtered in the streets by a ruthless dictator who we now have confirmed is months away from a nuke. They have threatened to close the strait of Hormuz and shut off oil supply, and indeed they have ships there, they have threatened Israel, and continue to blow off the the US and UN sanctions (FWIW).

EGYPT: We had a moderate, relatively stable relationship with the leader of that country (as did Israel), the Muslim Brotherhood (a radical muslim group) has been stirring up the people, and Obama interjects himself into their affairs saying Musharraf must go...the question is why??

The Muslim Brotherhood is a global organization and the leading force behind political totalitarian Islam. It is also the fountainhead of terrorist Islam, and in particular the Islamic terror groups al-Qaeda and Hamas. The Brotherhood was founded in Egypt in 1928 by Hasan al-Banna. Al-Banna was an open admirer and supporter of Adolf Hitler, and had Mein Kampftranslated into Arabic in the 193o's..

Hamas identifies itself as a creature of the Brotherhood in its founding charter: “The Islamic Resistance Movement [Hamas] is one of the wings of the Muslim Brothers in Palestine. The Muslim Brotherhood Movement is a world organization, 12the largest Islamic Movement in the modern era.”9Al-Qaeda founders Abdullah Azzam and Osama bin Laden, and top leader Ayman al-Zawahiri, were all members of or trained by the Muslim Brotherhood...

Well, lo and behold....given the repeated pressure from the world and our the Obama ADM, Mubarrek steps down. What do we have since then? The MB "won" the election and since that time we have had more unrest, more murders (especially toward the Coptic Christians), and pure chaos...as bad as the economy was before, it is even worse now.

We knew this was exactly what would happen, so why did the Obama ADM encourage it? To make matter worse, we now have 43 of OUR citizens who are over there trying to help being refused permission to leave initially and now are up for trumped up charges and subject to a trial (one of these is Obama's own Transportation Secretary's son)under the new totalitarian regime...and we now have heard tonight that Egyptian generals who are in DC to meet with the Senators and also the Obama ADM have fled the country today. Looks like that plan has FAILED MISERABLY.

So there you have it... But my question has always been why did Obama give Amadidanutjob in Iran a pass, but cracks down on the Egpytian president? And thanks to the muffed policy, the whole entire ME is a much more dangerous powderkeg with Israel backed into a corner and faced with a tough decision which could be the match that ignites it all.

The MB moves in the absence of any regime that is taken over...He again made that mistake with Libya, he will with Syria, and all the others place he has chosen to interject himself. The world is a much more dangerous place now than it was 5 years ago, and I blame a lot of that on Obama fueling the flames (whether ignorantly or on purpose).

it is a long time till the election, and then again, was this poll taken before he decided to interfere in religious freedom of choice in this country and obama's morally superior attitude and all the bad backlash to it from all walks of life..congress will overturn it and many dem congress people are saying they are now sorry they voted for obamacare...he has lost it on this issue alone..

But my question has always been why did Obama give Amadidanutjob in Iran a pass, but cracks down on the Egpytian president? I think we all pretty much are realizing the why....he is siding with his muslim brothers..he has also been mum on the syrian issue.hhuuummm

More ignornt bs,trying to pin their republican presidents clusterfvck onto the President....Hey genius, your boy shot the economy in the face the way cheney shot his friend, 3 month before he left office...He lost-9% of GDP, 12 trillion in American wealth evaporated , lost 4.3 million jobs and was losing 820,000 a month when he left...plus his 2009 budget deficit was 1.55 trillion dollars. The stimulus is directly because of this, Cbo figures for cause of the deficit for this year, 48% due to income losses stemming directly from the 08 crash,35% for the recession and crash itself, 8% from defense spending,9% from nondefense,so thats 83% directly attributable to the great recession which would have never occurred if the republican majority kept an eye on the subprime market and reigned in wall street....The only reason we aren't in a crippling depression is because the president didn't act like a tebagger or hoover...

The audacity of a president hell-bent on destroying our great nation has truly been a stunning spectacle to observe.

Yeah, what audacity Obama has for trying to get all Americans covered with insurance so they can live a healthier longer life or the audacity he has by bailing out not only one of the largest employers in the US but one of the largest auto manufacturers in the world. The only thing that has been a "stunning spectacle" is how the GOP will sell out the American people for political/personal gain.

Millions of Americans, however, have finally had enough.

If that ain't the truth, but not in the way you wish. Americans have seen the low low price that the GOP has been willing to sell us out for. The millions have finally had enough of GOP obstructionism in the face of progress. And there will be a counterrevolution alright a counter to the 2010 elections. You thought you saw a "super majority" before, you ain't seen nothing yet. Wait until the GOP doesn't have enough votes to do anything including their tried and true political strategy of obstruct and blame.

thank god--a truthful article coming from the media...and yah I am angry, at the hateful left and what they are trying to destroy..thanks for this insightful article cornhusker..

This article is about as "insightful" as a David Koresh manefesto. Hateful left? Yeah because it's the left that was against letting LGBT serve in the military, giving women the choice of what to do with their own body, hosting "hearings" about how Muslims are more likely to produce terrorists acts, only caring about children before they are born and looking for anything, no matter how minut, to b!tch about.

thank god republicans were elected in 2010 and obstructed this path to destruction....think how much better off we would be if obama had not spent us into oblivion..

The only "people" that would have been better off with a GOP Presidency is the "people" named ExxonMobil, Pfizer, Cargil, Monsanto, etc.. You know "real" Americans./s

This whole article is nothing but a fluff piece minus the fluff. Waste of time reading it waste of broadband displaying it.

The last Republican President reeked havoc on our country to the point where no candidate utters his name or asks for an endorsement.

Vote for another Republican President who is out of touch? No thanks. Been there, seen that. The fearmongering from the right is becoming white noise and is pointless in moving this country forward. I don't vote on fear.

Ha! I love that you actually believe that Obama wants to destroy america. As if that is his actual goal, it's on his to do list. You crack me up. Paranoia runs deep I see.

No lie is too ridiculous to tell about anyone who opposes him.

Why in the world would he need to lie to make his opponents look bad? All he has to do is show clips of what they have actually said to accomplish that...

Despite overwhelming opposition, he forced a health plan on the people that few want.

Correction: that the author of this article doesn't want, and therefore assumes the world does not want.
This whole article seems like nothing more than an act of desperation. If you really think accusing Obama of made up crimes is going to help, by all means continue. It just makes your party seem less credible than it all ready is.

Yes...read it and weep:

1. 1/6/2012 unemployment rate 8.3% - 10% the whole time he has been in office

http://www.zerohedge.com/news/real-jobless-rate-114-realistic-labor-force-participation-rate

2. Obamacare...we predicted this. Doctors would get out of business because they simple cannot make it (and Obamacare has not even been fully implemented)

http://money.cnn.com/2012/01/05/smallbusiness/doctors_broke/index.htm?hpt=hp_t3&hpt=hp_c1

And now we have the whole debacle with the Obama ADM trying to force religious charities to go against their teachings in an oder under Obamacare...and then he tries to cover it up by signing a bogus executive order that did nothing of the sort he said it did just to get the hold out Dems to sign it:

http://thehill.com/blogs/healthwatch/health-reform-implementation/209553-white-house-struggles-to-contain-uproar-over-birth-control-mandate

http://www.weeklystandard.com/blogs/dem-rep-kathy-dahlkemper-i-wouldnt-have-voted-obamacare-if-id-known-about-hhs-regulation_626302.html

And to top that, we have the military chaplains told what they could and could not say in church from the higher ups in the military:

http://www.calcatholic.com/news/newsArticle.aspx?id=d5f70a7e-c778-4213-a1c6-4f3309997e3a

3. Obama on pace to spend 6.2 trillion dollars

http://cnsnews.com/news/article/obama-pace-borrow-62t-one-term-more-all-presidents-washington-through-clinton-combined

but he called Bush's debt increase "unpatriotic"

http://www.whitehousedossier.com/2012/01/13/obama-called-smaller-bush-debt-rise-unpatriotic/

4. Taxes up:

“ U.S. economy in taxes will increase by more than 30 percent between 2012 and 2014, according to the Budget and Economic Outlook published today by the CBO.

At the same time, according to CBO, the economy will remain sluggish, partly because of higher taxes.

“In particular, between 2012 and 2014, revenues in CBO’s baseline shoot up by more than 30 percent,” said CBO, “mostly because of the recent or scheduled expirations of tax provisions, such as those that lower income tax rates and limit the reach of the alternative minimum tax (AMT), and the imposition of new taxes, fees, and penalties that are scheduled to go into effect.”

The U.S. economy, CBO projects, will perform “below its potential” for another six years and unemployment will remain above 7 percent for another three.

“The pace of the economic recovery has been slow since the recession ended in June 2009, and the Congressional Budget Office (CBO) expects that, under current laws governing taxes and spending, the economy will continue to grow at a sluggish pace over the next two years,” said CBO. “That pace of growth partly reflects the dampening effect on economic activity from the higher tax rates and curbs on spending scheduled to occur this year and especially next year.”

http://cnsnews.com/news/article/cbo-taxes-will-shoot-more-30-percent-over-next-2-years

5. “For the fourth year in a row, Washington faces a $1 trillion-plus deficit and just servicing the nation’s debt will soon cost as much as paying for Medicaid, the federal-state health care program for the poor and disabled.

Those were two grim predictions in a 147-page report from the Congressional Budget Office, which Tuesday stepped into the 2012 campaign…”

http://www.politico.com/news/stories/0112/72205.html

6. While the Obama ADM touts 8.3 unemployment (as IF that is a good number to begin with and skewed), the CBO projects it is much closer to 10%

it’s not about birth control and most don’t view it that way...you know that no one is forbidding them to use it, it costs them all of $20 a month to buy..it is about religious doctrine and the governments right to dictate what they have to support.....it is about the religious community {not just catholics} that do not support paying for abortions ...obama blew it on this one and the public won’t forgive it..

The Sky is Falling, The Sky is Falling, THE SKY IS FALLING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

When Clinton left office, the federal budget was about $1.9 trillion with a surplus, not a deficit. Over the next 8 years Shrub proceeded to create the largest government ever, spending over $3 trillion on the federal budfet in his last year, all while giving tax breaks. So now we have this huge government spending $3 trillion a year with the largest deficits ever, being handed to Obama, and you want to blame him for how big the government is and how much we owe. Nice try…

Dont even get me started on you guys blaming the President for the current state the economy is in. Oh wait, thats getting better every month? Okay he can take some of the credit for fixing it :)

It's funny how people claim this President or that President is the worst of all. Many say it was Carter. Some say it was one from the old days......Most who have an opinion are on the right. Surprise.

When I hear the subject brought up, the first President I think of, and one I NEVER hear elsewhere, is a republican....Richard Nixon. Didn't he have to resign? By the way, didn't his Vice-President Spiro Agnew, resign also? Folks bandy about Obama being the worst, but have nothing to support said comment. In modern times..........Bush will, most likely, remain the worst President ever. A truer "Howdie Doodie" of a puppet the likes this Country has never seen.

A pariah status could very well attach itself to Obama on a level reserved for few individuals in American history. Obama could be regarded as the Benedict Arnold of our time. The masses may come to shun him, and rightly so. If there is poetic justice in this world, this will be his legacy.

November is not just another election; it is a seminal moment in American history. If Obama is re-elected, expect ObamaCare to stay, the debt to crush us, our defenses to be laid bare, Iran to get the bomb, and at least two liberals to be named to the Supreme Court. If Obama is re-elected, America as we know it will be gone forever. Collapse will be certain.

For true hope and true change, perhaps we should try returning to a limited constitutional government. We all need to be involved. Whether or not we can turn around the disaster Barack Obama has foisted upon us hinges first on removing him from office. Now is the time to go about the work of doing just that.

yah we know liberals don’t like them-so they must be striking the cord of truth

.The masses may come to shun him, and rightly so. If there is poetic justice in this world, this will be his legacy.

he’ll have to push aside hitler, lenin, stalin and mao..

American Thinker is no worse than the Daily Kos, that unscrupulous garbage rag used by liberals more than any other to try and win arguments they have absolutely no chance of winning.

"yah we know liberals don’t like them-so they must be striking the cord of truth"

I don't like Hitler, Lenin, Stalin or Mao, so I guess they were all speaking the truth too?

"American Thinker is no worse than the Daily Kos, that unscrupulous garbage rag used by liberals more than any other to try and win arguments they have absolutely no chance of winning."

gotta bring up something irrelevant. Can't defend the article, gotta attack something else.

"history or the masses won’t like obama much either,"

you kinda missed my point.

"can’t refute the article, attack the source"

well, he didn't really, he just insulted it. He didn't provide any evidence.

"..it is the liberal way, and we know how the game is played.."

so...he's a liberal?

I don't need special articles or studies to see that the USA has gone down the tube sunder Obama's so called "leadership." We and our children and our grandchildren and our great grandchildren will be paying off his debt (if the nation lasts that long). Only a deaf, dumb and blind fool can't see the damage this imbecile has done. But the worse part is the people who are totally oblivious to it - and will vote for him in 2012. The people who do should all be tarred, feathered and run out of town.

Obama only accounts for a fraction of the debt, and the economy was in its downward spiral before he entered office.

"The people who do should all be tarred, feathered and run out of town."

how civil.

well, I will say this - the jackasses in Washington that have spent us into massive debt don't deserve any better than that...all the while they get to keep their pensions, their precious healthcare, their nice salaries for dumping this load of cow dung on us the American people.

The debt that Obama helped create has amounted to an astounding number...beating Bush by a longshot (and he had 8 years and we are on year 3 of Obama).

And I've tried extending a compromise on this issue, I agree the debt problem is a major detriment to out nation and I want to see it gone as much as you do. I would like to see democrats concede less spending, and I would like to see republicans concede higher taxes. Both are debt busters and it will take both sides to make a shovel big enough to fill this hole.

Great article CHP and every word is true. I personally know Democrats who will not vote for Obama again. The difference between what liberal voters in the real world are saying, and liberal Viners who defend Obama no matter what he does, is amazing.

Well, to be honest, I, as a liberal, am only partially satisfied with what Obama has accomplished, but I'm still going to vote for him, mainly because I've looked at the possible candidates for his opponent, and they are all much worse... The republican candidates are all homophobic, pro-life theocrats, who are in favor of more taxes breaks for millionaires. Sorry, but I'll take my chances with Obama...
