“What Makes Obama Run,” was the headline, noting that Obama was “entering politics to get back to his true passion — community organization.”

Obama’s comments about Christians came during a rhetorical question he raised over what would happen if a politican “were to see his job as that of an organizer.”

Then, the future president unloaded on Christians.

“The right wing, the Christian right, has done a good job of building these organizations of accountability, much better than the left or progressive forces have,” he told the Chicago Reader. “But it’s always easier to organize around intolerance, narrow-mindedness, and false nostalgia. And they also have hijacked the higher moral ground with this language of family values and moral responsibility.”

During his 2008 presidential run, Obama came under fire for blasting Americans who cling to their guns and religion. He labeled them "bitter Americans."

Fox News & Commentary host Todd Starnes wrote a new book about that subject called, "Dispatches From Bitter America." The book explores why Obama believes people who worship God are somehow bitter.

He's only right. Considering the support they give to Gingrich and Santorum, as a vote for Gingrich is incredibly hypocritical and one for Santorum is a vote for ignorance and hate.

So President Obama does not like Christians.... hardly news. He has been silent on the slaughter of Christians across the Middle East. Too busy assisting the Muslim Brotherhood coming to power in Egypt, and elsewhere, I suppose.

Makes you wonder what, if any, Christianity was espoused in Rev. Wright's church. I still think he was ingrained with Islam in the madrasa he attended. We should pray for him to not be so conflicted.

Obama was “entering politics to get back to his true passion — community organization". Obama said, ”it’s always easier to organize around intolerance, narrow-mindedness, and false nostalgia. And ...[Christians]... have hijacked the higher moral ground with this language of family values and moral responsibility.”

So it is obvious from his own words that his base, that he likes to organize, are the intolerant and narrow-minded. As he has no history of belonging to a family unit, with mother and father together, he really has no knowledge of the "nostalgia" that a family unit used to be. How can anyone look at our present society and not see the degeneration of values and morality. Tick off the 7 sins...greed, lust, etc etc. And it seems like profanity is the only protected free speech.

Sorry Obama Haters but the President didn't say *all* Christians, he said

“The right wing, the Christian right, has done a good job of building these organizations of accountability, much better than the left or progressive forces have,” he told the Chicago Reader. “But it’s always easier to organize around intolerance, narrow-mindedness, and false nostalgia. And they also have hijacked the higher moral ground with this language of family values and moral responsibility.”

And he's 100% correct. It *is* always easier to organize around intolerance and narrow-mindedness. Two traits that the Christian Right in America are noted for.

I realize that it takes a mind indoctrinated by FOX to leap from there to "Obama hates all Christians", but at least try to follow the acts.

It's like explaining something to children with their fingers in their ears. When they read all they see is "blah, blah, blah, Obama, blah, blah, hates, blah, blah, Christians, blah, blah."

Cornhusker4Palin, George-369262, read this quote...

"There is no position on which people are so immovable as their religious beliefs. There is no more powerful ally one can claim in a debate than Jesus Christ, or God, or Allah, or whatever one calls this supreme being. But like any powerful weapon, the use of God's name on one's behalf should be used sparingly. The religious factions that are growing throughout our land are not using their religious clout with wisdom. They are trying to force government leaders into following their position 100 percent. If you disagree with these religious groups on a particular moral issue, they complain, they threaten you with a loss of money or votes or both. I'm frankly sick and tired of the political preachers across this country telling me as a citizen that if I want to be a moral person, I must believe in 'A,' 'B,' 'C,' and 'D.' Just who do they think they are? And from where do they presume to claim the right to dictate their moral beliefs to me? And I am even more angry as a legislator who must endure the threats of every religious group who thinks it has some God-granted right to control my vote on every roll call in the Senate. I am warning them today: I will fight them every step of the way if they try to dictate their moral convictions to all Americans in the name of 'conservatism.' "

Do you know who said this?

Barry Goldwater

It seems that Goldwater knew that the religious right would do far more harm than good in the politicial arena when he said this 30 years ago and it's clear that the GOP has not heeded him...
