Barack Obama: In the Footsteps of Twentieth Century Despots

How many times will the American people have to be hit over the head before they understand that Barack Obama is the most corrupt, dictatorial, and ideologically driven president in American history?  That his entire being and psyche are devoted to transforming the country not only into a socialist utopia, but into a nation permanently governed by a radical oligarchy?

This mindset has been on display since the beginning of Obama's term, as detailed by David Limbaugh in his book, Crimes Against Liberty.  Yet so many seem to not care or are deliberately oblivious to the long-term implications of his actions, many of which mirror those of the despots that ran roughshod over the last century.

The recent ruling by the Obama Department of Health and Human Services forcing religious institutions to provide either directly or through private insurance not only contraceptives, but abortion pills and sterilization is not a matter of so-called women's rights, but a means of setting the precedent and foundation to force organized religion to be subservient to the state.

The passage of ObamaCare, from which this edict stems, has nothing to do with healthcare; rather, it is a vehicle to ultimately control the day-to-day activities of the American people through the dictates and mandates emanating from an overarching bureaucracy.  Once fully implemented, individual liberty and freedom, the hallmarks of the nation's history, will be eradicated forever.

In furtherance of Obama's transformative goals, he and his minions are in the process of shackling the free market through unfettered government control and influence. It is the aim of the Obama presidency to create a so-called "government-business partnership" wherein the government chooses the winners and losers based upon their allegiance to and support of the regime.

The massive spending and debt incurred over the past three years are the byproduct of Obama's overarching objective to make certain that the overwhelming majority of the populace becomes, by necessity, dependent on the government, thus more subservient and easily controlled. Whether the country becomes insolvent or the middle class ceases to exist is immaterial.

In his public speeches and well-produced appearances, Barack Obama plays the fictional role of someone who cares for the "little guy." He is the people's avenger against those he defines as the enemy, be it the wealthy, the corporations, deeply committed religious groups, conservatives and the Tea Party movement, or those intransigent ideologues in Congress who stand in the way of his nation-saving agenda. In this quest for power, there are no lies or obfuscations too egregious to tell or societal tensions too dangerous to create, as he alone can save the nation.

Barack Obama is following in the footsteps of the despots who dominated the 20th century.

This is laughable and nothing more than RWNJ rhetoric, but go ahead and back that up with some evidence.

If paranoia wasn't so rampant in this country, this seed would be just funny.

Yesterday, I responded to an article about the argument against legalized gay marriage. It was full of the same nonsense and paranoia as in this article.

Folks, the radical right does not have to be in touch with reality.

All that the radical right has to do is touch a spark of their base with lies, deflections, and distractions concerning President Obama. The radical right's base gets so caught in the anti-Obama messaging that they don't pay attention to how the radical right acts against the base. When a few members of the base realizes that they have been screwed by the radical right, they change direction for the difficult battle to return to what has been lost.

The radical right does not ever mention the fact that the costs for waging war in Iraq and Afghanistan were never included in the Bush Administration budgets. Never. Now, since those costs have included in the Obama budgets, the radical right has campaign talking points about how President Obama is raising US debt and deficit. The radical right uses distraction and deflection so that they don't have to talk about the war costs finally being presented.

The very best recent example of radical right deflection and distraction is the contrived religious liberties battle concerning contraceptives. Some Catholic institutions have been paying for contraceptives since early in the first Bush administration. The Obama administration piggy-backed onto what was established under Bush. There wasn't any outcry about religious liberty being lost concerning contraceptives under Bush. None. Now, there's an outcry because the radical right would rather focus on a contrived religious liberties battle than talk about the slowly improving economy.

Great seed C4P. I've heard him say that he just can't dictate the way he would like to because of the constitution. The latest was in his interview with Matt Lauer before the Super Bowl. I'm very thankful that we have representatives who stand up to him, even though it gets them nothing but criticism from the left.

Obama could care less if a small business makes it. Dodd-Frank has pretty much made it impossible for a small business to get a loan, even though that business already has a loan with that company, you cannot refinance. I know this to be true since my husband and I own a business, have a loan with a certain lender and current with the payments, and could not refinance. When asked if it was because of the restrictions in Dodd-Frank, the answer was YES!!! IMO, Obama, due to his allegiance with the unions, is trying to drive out all of the Mom and Pop operations that made our country great. If he wants to help the business community create jobs, just get out of the way or at least drastically cut business tax rates on employers, not employees, and really slash the self employment tax. BTW, for those of you who think that the payroll tax cut was a great idea, it was a .02% decrease, which for my employees is $5-$10 per week. If this goes away, and it should, most people in the country would not even notice. I mean, why should the employer pay more toward the employees retirement, than the employee?

If Obama were any type of leader, he would go to Reid and tell him to get those bills that the house has sent over to him and start debating them, so a compromise can be reached. No, all he does is say they haven't done anything, which is a lie, but he knows that his devoted followers will not question anything he says. They just follow blindly.

As for the deal with the contraceptives and the catholic church, it doesn't matter if catholic women have been using these for years. He has no right to mandate that any private business provide any product for free. This is not free. The insurance companies will just raise their rates to cover this "Free" service, just they will for the rest of this mandated Obamacare fiasco.

Once again great seed C4P. Time to get to work now.

looks like the american toilet paper got the message from cpac and rassmussen and decided to call birth control abortion pills.

Everyone involved, the feminists, and the church, both are totally happy with Obamas plan. BOTH SIDES between two direct enemies are totally happy.

The only people who are not happy are the hyper partisans.

the People who hate Obama no matter what even when he passes republican things.

People with Obama derangement syndrome.

I mean crap the american thinker could find a dozen contention things to complain about, it wants to bitch about this birth control issue that has already been settled?

Yep we get it, despite the rights best efforts, the economy is improving.

And since in 2010 the right were elected on "jobs jobs jobs jobs jobs" and the only jobs bill they tried to pass was building an oil pipe line.

I can see why yall are desperate to make this election about social conservative issues.

Hating gays, hating women, disguising it as religious freedom.. yeah we get it. GOod luck with that.

Marshall James show me someone on the right who would do differnt.

New wants to expand our military and execute pot smokers and ignore the courts.

Romney has also stated that Obama has made us less safe and wants to expand the military.

WHat you want to go off on ron paul who isnt going to get nominated?

and on the NDAA, which stands for NATIONAL DEFENSE AUTHORIZATION AGREEMENT, you know funding for the wars the right started. You know the funding the right went ape @!$%# over when the dems asked to be able to stop to talk about it.

Now suddenly signing it is evil. ANd PS congress had more than enough votes, to overide a veto. BoTH the republican HOUSE and the DEM senate.

And if you paid any attention, well anywhere but the american toilet paper and faux news, you would have seen that Obama fought the draconian provisions of teh NDAA, which were put in there by republicans. And even issued a signing statement questioning their constitutionality.

amazing how the NDAA and our intelligence methods were nessary under bush and even talking about it was appeasing the enemy but it is pure evil under Obama and to teach Obama a lesson we should vote for hte GOP who promise to continue doing the same thing.

Oh and the "guy Obama assassinated: without a trial. Was a well known terrorist cleric in yemen. The guy wrote in al quada magazine that we was proud to be a traitor to the US. He confessed. People get killed when we drop air bombs on them. The right wouldnt be bitching had bush killed this terrorist.

OK. I get not liking the POTUS. I couldn't stand Pres. Bush. I get seeding negative articles. What I don't get is the total disconnect from reality. Whether or not you like what Pres. Obama is doing, it is no more dictatorial, socialist, marxist, communist, anti-Constitutional, radically liberal, or otherwise extreme than how any other President has operated in the last 100 years. You have policies and positions you disagree with? Fine. Let's discuss them. But this penchant for extreme name calling without any reasonable foundation is just silly.

Totally agree with you. Your post reminded me of this famous Nazi quote:

If you tell a lie big enough and keep repeating it, people will eventually come to believe it. The lie can be maintained only for such time as the State can shield the people from the political, economic and/or military consequences of the lie. It thus becomes vitally important for the State to use all of its powers to repress dissent, for the truth is the mortal enemy of the lie, and thus by extension, the truth is the greatest enemy of the State.

Sane Americans will have one look at the Obama budget and the preference might extend to Mickey Mouse as an alternative to BO in November.

Many months are between today and the next election. Try as BO might to delude the populace, I have faith in American rationale. When it comes to pushing the lever in the voting booth on 11/6/12, I am certain that Americans will question as to whether they are up for 4 more years of the dystopian nightmare we are currently living.

I hoped that this seed might lead to reasonable discussion. But, in my opinion, it has collapsed into same old, same old. There are lies on both sides of the political coin. In November, we will find out who "fell" for what. Middle America is being trampled. Collectively, we will need to speak our peace in the voting booth. If we don't, the rich and the poor will continue to battle it out at our expense.

Patriot, do you then actually think that eliminating limits on business, cutting taxes primarily for the wealthy, and cutting miscellaneous unspecified spending are the answers to any and all problems the nation is facing?!

Not only that. I think we have to take a long hard look at the elephant in the room: entitlements.

To delay further is to continue to decay we have witnessed the past 3 years.

Take a look at the mess that is called Greece. If we do not address our single largest expenditure soon, we will have nothing for the future.

Patriot-

Yes what better time to cut entitlements then when the most people are being helped by them. Knock all this deficit talk off like that really makes a difference to your life. America is poor because of an endless cycle of war. We spend billions upon billions on defense without a question in fact more than the all the rest of the industrialized countries combined yet can't afford to help the poor in this country. Look at what you wrote. It's give to the rich, take from the poor. And you wonder why people say Republicans are for the rich.

Unfortunately, the "poor" have nothing to take so that is a rather hypocritical perspective.

As for the "Robin Hood" theory of government, the story was just a fairy tale and has no practical application in reality.

Actually Patriot, I do agree with you on entitlements; they have turned us into a nation of welfare collectors. Nearly all of those on Social Security and Medicare want to widely distance themselves from those people, but it's all a reality of taking money from those who're working (or borrowing it from China) and giving it to others. The benefits of all of the various programs, not just unemployment, Medicaid and food stamps, should be based on need instead of greed. The only question is how bad things will get before they fix the situation. And you can bet if and when they do, tax cuts ain't gonna be a part of it.

Bull@!$%#. Although I agree it's too much, it is 25%.

http://www.usgovernmentspending.com/defense_budget_2012_3.html

And that is total defense, not waging war.

Roads are paid for from gasoline taxes, so the amount we spend on them really has nothing to do with defense.

Schools are primarily paid for by local and state taxes. There again, nothing to do with defense.

Piss poor argument. Want to try again?

The Interstate Highway System was created for National Defense purposes because of the vulnerability of railroads to sabotage and air attacks.

Schools would get MORE money from the Federal Government if we didn't have a Military Budget almost equal to the entire rest of the world.

The Interstate Highway System was created for National Defense purposes because of the vulnerability of railroads to sabotage and air attacks.

Not exactly. How and why would railroads be any more vulnerable than the pavements, bridges and tunnels of highways?

People came to want the interstate system because it worked much better than ordinary-access highways for personal cars as well as trucks, especially when the highways came into large cities. Defense as used as the rationale, because the Communist scare of the 50's made it quite easy to acquire the bookoo bucks that were necessary.

People believe Reagan inherited a recession that Carter started. Yes UE was 7.5 when Carter left office, It was also 7.5 when he took office. Both nixon and reagan had worse, deeper, and longer recessions than carter did. But you hear the right spit out things like "stagflation" as if any of them even know what the @!$%# that means. If he did, though, half the conservative talk-radio hosts in the country along with John Boehner, Eric Cantor, Mitch McConnell, Orly Taitz, Donald Trump and yes, Sarah Palin would find themselves either running to Canada in exile in order to save their lives.

Any dictator worth his spurs would have this level of dissent and resistence rounded up and shot.

What about that is unreasonable? Unreasonable is to expect the less fortunate to pay $60 a month for birth control. They take it so they don't have unwanted pregnancies or have to turn to abortion. You know all those kids that once they're born you and the rest of the Republican minded would rather spit on than help, that's what all those unwanted preganancies will turn into as soon as their born. So yeah let's keep paying for BC. It has been working so well to keep the abortion rate down. Plus if we could just keep making more unwanted pregnancies happen you guys will have a whole new generation of poor people to demonize.

I thought it was funny that a person with a book called "Scorpions For Breakfast" would get so flustered about Obama in the first place. I guess it's true, you really can't judge a book by it's cover, or someone might think Brewer is tough or at least thick skinned. Guess not.

Drummerboy - Those who oppose Obama aren't "necessarily" racists (regardless of how those on the right choose to selectively interpret that which they read on Newsvine). They're most often just a group of misinformed, brainwashed losers who long for the dear old days of Bush/Cheney and cheer any and all efforts to denigrate and roadblock Obama.

That's all. Buffoons, dolts and knuckledraggers, yes...but not "necessarily" racists.

...are you going to DENY the fact that people who oppose Obama have been called racists after clearly stating their non-support is NOT about race?

Are you serious? "...after clearly stating their non-support is NOT about race?"

So if you walk into your house and find a guy carrying out your TV, you confront him and he tells you he's not a thief -- he's just taking your TV in for the scheduled six-month checkup, you believe that too?

I personally know plenty of people who'd deny being racist, but whom I also know just cannot accept the idea of a black guy as President. Are they planning a lynch mob? No. That doesn't change the fact that they can't wrap their heads around the reality of a melatonin-enriched guy named Barack running the country.

That's not how it's always been.

There are a lot of people still around who grew up with segregation - and it's part of their lives and their identities, no matter what. You think the hair didn't stand up on their backs when Obama won?

The nature of conservatism is resistance to change.

      conservative

      Adjective:

Holding to traditional attitudes and values and cautious about change or innovation, typically in politics or religion.

      Noun:

A person who is averse to change and holds to traditional values and attitudes, typically in politics.

Rorschach, I found a much better definition of conservative and liberal than you listed. I found these to be highly acuurate. Though I am a Republican, I am a Ron Paul libertarian leaning Republican, not very conservative according to my conservative friends.

      From Mark Levin

If you are a “liberal,” you favor abortion and you support homosexual marriage. You want to see prayer banned from public gatherings and you think all Scripture – including the Ten Commandments, which form the basis of our system of law – should be removed from the public square. You believe that condemning certain deviant behavior should be a crime.

If you are a “liberal,” you think government can make better decisions and spend your money more wisely than you. You believe that legislation can dramatically improve the fortunes of all Americans. You think that taxpayers should foot the bill for many who either don’t want to work or can’t work as a result of their destructive lifestyles.

A “liberal” today takes comfort in the knowledge that even if America’s citizens, legislators and Constitution get it wrong, somewhere there’s an unelected judge that will make it right. Especially in the Supreme Court, which to the liberal exceeds the authority of the Constitution.

Furthermore, the majority of liberals think the United States is responsible for most of the conflict, poverty, pollution and hardship in the world. You believe America should place itself under the supervision and direction of the United Nations, functioning not as a sovereign nation, but as a member of the collective.

And most concerning of all, if you are a liberal, you are convinced that religion has caused most of our problems and should either be banned or tightly controlled.

Finally, if you are a “liberal,” you probably don’t believe there should be any restrictions on your moral or ethical behavior.

At the other end of the spectrum lie the “conservatives.”

“Conservatives” predominantly believe that life is given by God and begins at conception. They believe it is therefore sacred and to be revered and preserved at all cost. You think that our basic rights are granted by God, Himself – not by governments of men or human courts – and therefore cannot be denied without penalty. “Conservatives” believe our nation was founded by Christians on Judeo-Christian principles – that those principles and values have enabled our nation to become strong and prosperous.

If you are a conservative, you probably are convinced that it is not only our right to worship without interference, but that it is our obligation to publicly remind ourselves from whence our strength and blessings flow.

As a conservative, you understand that marriage is a sacred institution designed by God to be the union of one man and one woman. You think that when society condones and sanctions deviant behavior, destructive lifestyles and moral depravity, it degrades and weakens our nation.

A “conservative” believes in the power and the rights of the individual, the family and the private sector to create and preserve wealth. You believe that our earned wealth is to enhance our lives. You are confident that government should play an important role in protecting the nation, supplying common essential services, and providing a safety net for the weaker and less fortunate in our midst. It should, however, be our servant and not our master.

Finally, if you are a conservative, you probably believe that God raised up the United States of America and continues to bless her because she honors Him. You believe that we owe our allegiance to her – not to a cartel of nations that are determined to see her humiliated and hobbled.

You believe America should stand for honor, equality, morality and righteousness, and that we should be prepared and willing to defend those virtues no matter the price.

Twelve years ago, the campaign slogan that propelled Bill Clinton to victory was: “It’s the economy … Stupid.”But to the informed and critically thinking person today, there are much more important issues than just the economy.

We are facing an enemy that hides in the shadows, doesn’t play by any of the rules, and is determined to use any means to bring about our literal annihilation.

And though this aptly describes the Islamic fanatics who seek our destruction, it also describes the enemy that lurks among us. The enemy that seeks to remake America from within.

Do you deny people who do not support Obama have been called racists here on Newsvine even after clearly explaining their reasons for not supporting Obama and NONE of those reasons involved race?

            Hmmm....I don't know about that.

Inflammatory : I believe the RWNJs equate this word with entertainment, so it would be hard for them to distinguish a difference.

Deliberately False : I would be nervous about this one simply because you have to prove intent. Both Repubs and Dems say things that are false but believed at the time the statement was spoken. Besides, Repubs already cry foul when their fables are exposed by elitists intellectuals. I say let them continue to build a platform on a house of cards. It will eventually collapse from the accumulation of dishonesty and fabrication.

Willfully Ignorant : This would apply to just about every single iota of propaganda in the conservative/republican playbook. That one is just a little bit too broad and subjective. It's best to just let them spew their bile as long as there's a rational-thinking progressive around to offer a quick and plausible rejoinder.

Nobody hates Obama that was Bush they hated.

There are rational and numerous reasons why Bush richly deserves the enmity he got and still gets (completely pants-down on terrorism, tax-cuts that bankrupted the treasury, failed wars and the lying to get into one of them; torture; Katrina--just to name a few of the more notable ones). The Obama hatred is irrational to the point of being pathological. He's not perfect but he's managed to put this country into a recovery from the worst economic disaster since the Great Depression despite Rep efforts to do everything they can to make him fail (and with the help of a few DINOs too, I would add).

Oh I see, it's okay to hate one person, but not the other.

            One word, Bull@!$%#.

Obama is the worst @!$%#ing President in our history.

People can hate him all they want.

His politics are the most devisive since before the civil war.

They wonder why Republicans won't work with him.

Could it be because while he had a Democratic Congress, he said things like "WE Won, Get over it."

And then ramrodded the Obamacare through congress, even after the Amercian people had spoken loudly agaisnt it.

Could that be the cause of the hatred you think?

It was when I pledged to never vote for another democrat, so did may members of my family.

Which is amazing since I was one until 1997.

So, you are wrong. There are really good reason to hate the man in office now.

republicans weren't working with democrats before obama was even elected.

Could it be because while he had a Democratic Congress, he said things like "WE Won, Get over it."

he said it because republicans were blocking everything.

And then ramrodded the Obamacare through congress, even after the Amercian people had spoken loudly agaisnt it.

you can't even use different language then their talking points?

the majority of americans want healthcare reform.

It was when I pledged to never vote for another democrat, so did may members of my family.

            Bull$hit! It's just ODS.

Did Obama get thousands of American Soldiers KILLED and Tens of Thousands of them MAIMED based on a bunch of LIES like Bush did? No.

Did Obama totally screw up the Afghanistan conflict like Bush did? No.

Did Obama practically destroy the economy like Bush did? No.

Did Obama cut taxes for the rich, driving the deficit through the roof? No.

Did Obama pass the Affordable Care Act that will save Hundreds of Billions of Dollars in the long run? Yes.

Did Obama save the Auto Industry in spite of Republican opposition? Yes.

Divisive Politics? In exactly what way has Obama's Politics been divisive?

Republicans won't work with him even though he held out the hand of bipartisanship long after anyone else would have quit trying work with them.

Republicans are the ones who decided that instead of working on fixing the economy that they screwed up, that their number one priority would be to tank the economy even further and try to keep Obama from winning a 2nd term.

The same Republicans who have said that they will not compromise on ANY legislation, and wouldn't even accept a budget that was 90% spending cuts and 10% revenue increases.

What lies? Prove please. If your talking about the WMD, then lets see your rant against Bill Clinton too, since he made the same claim after seeing the same info. Could it be that we were mislead? Or are Bush, Clinton, and other world leaders just liars? IUn other words, If Bush is a liar, then Clinton is too, is that what your saying?

Did Obama totally screw up the Afghanistan conflict like Bush did? No.

Actually he has screwed it up even worse. I agree, Bush made a big mistake not nuking Tora Bora.

Did Obama practically destroy the economy like Bush did? No.

Buysh screwed up the economy? News to me. Tell me what exactly he did personally to cause it.

There again, you show ignorance of the issues with this statement. Both parties have overspent for decades, the Democrats being just as complicit as the Republicans.

Did Obama cut taxes for the rich, driving the deficit through the roof? No.

Low taxes are not ther reason for the deficit. Overspending is. Follow and learn.

If your bills are greater than your income, then what do you do? Do you go to your boss and say, "I can't make it on what I get, you have to give me more." Or do you cut spending?

It's really that simple. And Bush did not cut taxes for the rich exclusively. He cut it for all who pay taxes. Not far enough to save us from this downturn though. He also failed to cut spending.

Did Obama pass the Affordable Care Act that will save Hundreds of Billions of Dollars in the long run? Yes

Bwahahaha. You hadn't been paying any attention. The admin has now admitted its numbers were wrong.

You are also going by their numbers, which provide 6 years of healthcare for 10 years of higher taxes.

Go look at an independent analysis. If you think we can add millions of people to the healthcare rolls, and not increase spending, then I have some oceanfront property here in Colorado that I want to sell you.

Did Obama save the Auto Industry in spite of Republican opposition? Yes.

What he did was steal the company from its rightful owners and give it to the unions. I have a freind who lost a half million when the government did this. What do you say to him? Hint, like me, he's spending everything he can to defeat the Dems now.

And the Volt is the biggest piece of @!$%# I've ever seen. My business deals with used cars, and no one wants these things at all.

Divisive Politics? In exactly what way has Obama's Politics been divisive?

Lets see, ramming through healthcare, even though the people had spoken loudly in Mass for Scott Brown.

            Class envy

Trying to get churches to break their religious tenets.

The list is quite extensive actually. Add Arizona, Israel, Keystone, Solyndra.

Republicans won't work with him even though he held out the hand of bipartisanship long after anyone else would have quit trying work with them.

Really? The Healthcarre bill, behind closed doors, no Republicans allowed. How about his statemement "WE Won.." Yeah this President has really tried hasn't he. LOL.

Republicans are the ones who decided that instead of working on fixing the economy that they screwed up, that their number one priority would be to tank the economy even further and try to keep Obama from winning a 2nd term.

Delusions. It's Dingy Harry Reid holding up 26 bills in the Senate. Not even letting them come up for discussion. Is this what your talking about?

Why is Harry Reid trying to destroy the economy? The Republicans keep passing Jobs bills, and Harry won't even let them discuss the bills, much less bring them or a vote. Whats wrong Democrats? Hate Democracy? Hate Free Speech?

Come on Obama, call out Harry Reid for his obstructionism, unless you want the obstructions?

The same Republicans who have said that they will not compromise on ANY legislation, and wouldn't even accept a budget that was 90% spending cuts and 10% revenue increases.

Absolutely n o tax increases. Cut the @!$%#ing spending. Until I see real cuts, don't ask me for more money. In fact, I'm taking steps to lower my tax burden further and starve the beast. I encourage other business owners to do the same.

There is very good reason to Hate in the last 11 years, good reason to hate REPUBLICANS!

Really? I think the opposite true. I left the Democratic party in 1997.

None of what you posted was true, just more ODS.

Trying to get Churches to break their religious tenets? Complete and utter nonsense!

Israel? The Israeli Prime Minister said that Obama was doing fine by Israel. And this is even though Israel is illegally occupying Palestine.

Steal THE COMPANY? I said the AUTO Industry, not any particular company. Your foolish friend shouldn't have invested in a Company that wasn't even making a profit, and Obama didn't take his money the Bankruptcy Court did. Your friend would have lost his money anyway when the Company went Bankrupt (Which was ALWAYS going to happen).

The PPACA most certainly IS going to save Hundreds of Billions of dollars in the long run.

Class Envy? More Republican Lies and Nonsense.

            Arizona? What about Arizona?

Keystone? Great decision, there's no reason to risk destroying our environment in order to allow Canada to sell their oil to China while creating almost No American Jobs and increasing Untaxed Oil Company Profits even more than they already are.

Harry Reid Obstructionism? It's not the Democrats Filibustering almost every piece of legislation.

Solyndra? This was a company that was originally endorsed by Republicans, all the Obama Administration did was eliminate Red Tape like the Republicans said they wanted. It looks like it IS better to take your time and make these companies prove that they're financially sound.

Clinton didn't see the same info that Bush did, and he didn't start a foolish and unnecessary war like Bush did.

Nuke Tora Bora? A completely Idiotic Idea. The Political Repercussions alone are enough to make this a Stupid Idea, not to mention fallout, permanent contamination of the environment, and the simple fact that Nuclear Weapons aren't particularly effective in mountains unless you absolutely massive numbers of them. What was needed was to send a sufficient number of troops in the first place to cut off Oama and his Taliban allies retreat into Tora Bora in the first place. That's what we have airborne troops FOR. And after we killed every Terrorist and Taliban we could find then we should have left. Obama inherited a screwed up mess in Afghanistan and followed the recommendations of the Generals. Unfortunately there was never ANY possibility of a Military Solution after Bush and Cheney screwed things up.

The list of the things Republicans have screwed up is practically endless.

The only real criticism about Obama is that he shouldn't have bothered trying to work with the Republicans at all, since they NEVER had any intention of working WITH him to fix all the things that they screwed up.

Obamacare is going to cost us trillions. Anyone thinking differently has not been keeping up.

            Keystone?

Of course you statists are against it. It is the private industry creating jobs, and more oil. You guys hate that stuff.

Question, How many hundreds of thousands of miles of pipelines are already in the US?

LOL. More liberal lunacy. Guess what? Gasoline price are going up. More bad news for Obama.

As for Nuking Tora Bora, I can't take credit for that great idea, I can't remember who first said it, but it was a great idea.

Would have ended the war right there. And no one would have ever wanted to @!$%# with us again.

As President Obama's certain reelection gets closer, I expect more and more republicans, conservatives and teabaggers to become unhinged and attack President Obama and his family for the most trivial of matters.

It will be hard to believe that it's possible, but republicans/teabaggers will sink far lower and be far more despicable and vile than they have so far.

The writers there seem to be more and more terrified that Obama will win reelection so they churn crap like this out in an effort stem the tide. They would be doing their cause a lot more good if they would stick to analysis of specific problems they have with his actions rather than engaging in absurd hyperbole like this article.

            Cornhusker4Palin,

How was this setting a precedent? Did we not tell Mormons around the time of the Civil War that their religious belief of polygamy wasn't legal? What about the Mormon's religious freedom? Countless cities and states have made it illegal to have the Muslim call to prayer be broadcasted from neighborhood mosques and many mosques were told where they could and couldn't build their houses of god, where is Muslim's religious freedom? During our country's expansion out West, we told Native Americans what and where they could practice their religions, where is Native American religious freedom? Do you support their religious freedom too?

The recent ruling by the Obama Department of Health and Human Services forcing religious institutions to provide either directly or through private insurance not only contraceptives, but abortion pills and sterilization

Where does it say that this rule must cover abortion pills? Please show me where that is because I do not believe you.

            Have a good day.

Really? Motions towards, but still short of, the proven government run health care systems of other nations are the actions of a despot? Did someone misplace their brain? Oddly, I don't think of Finland, Britain, or Canada as dictatorships.

And about the Catholics being forced to pay for contraceptives; if you don't like the nations rules on companies, don't start a company. There is no amendment saying the government cannot regulate business, and that's what it's doing. If you are morally opposed to the laws imposed on businesses, don't start a business. The moment church and business intermingle, either church or state has to back off. But the moment any business can just say, "My business has strong religious leanings so I don't have to follow regulations" the banking industry will go form a new religion just to avoid the laws we need to prevent another recession.

This is clearly an article full of vapidity, deserving of all the respect of the contents of a toilet bowl.

The way all this will work out is there will be another Rep President. Probably not this election as I see no one fit.... But the Maneuvers that the Dems used will be used against them. President has done things that is not normal by dems or reps, But hes now set precedence on doing them for the reps. So while the Far left feels that its okay they have to remember that the reps can do the same with some huge legislation or bill and you will hear the far left scream fowl but they will be reminded well Obama and Pelosi and Reed did it that way. Everything always come full circle.

How many times will the American people have to be hit over the head before they understand that Barack Obama is the most corrupt, dictatorial, and ideologically driven president in American history

Quite a lot, since that is about the most categorically incorrect/inaccurate/silly description I have ever seen. How many times do you have to hit yourself in the head before YOU believe it?

Don't worry, from what I see on daytime TV, another blow on the head may correct your utter misapprehension of reality.

            @Fred Evil,

Can I have a pass? I was a kickboxer and a wrestler when I was younger and I have been hit in the head entirely too many times already...and it's starting to show. Strong coffee seems to help, though.

Anyhow...it always trips me out when this President is described as "dictatorial." All the dictators I ever read about (and there were a LOT of 'em, I have a poli-sci degree) usually had the dissenters rounded up and emulsified fairly early in their reigns. That Rush Limbaugh is still on the radio after his Week One public declaration of "I hope he fails" tells you all you need to know about Obama's "dictatorial" nature. Same goes for Mitch McConnell, Eric Cantor, Sarah Palin and virtually every on-camera "personality" at Faux News.

Obama definitely gets an Epic Fail in the ruthless despot category, that these people aren't in self-imposed exile (read, running for their lives), chained to a wall in the basement of, say, FBI headquarters or just plain ol' dead in a field somewhere.

Everyone who wants to know how a real dictator carries it ought to study Joe Stalin. Good ol' Uncle Joe wrote the book on political @$$-kickin' and name-takin'.

He sure did, and even a basic History 102 course at the local community college will cover in detail exactly how despotic Obama ISN'T. It's embarrassing how utterly wrong these claims are, when you look at REAL tyrants:

Had your home taken away? No.

            Your cars? No.

            All other possessions? No.

Forced to live in a collective? No.

Forced to work on a farm? No.

Had your religion stripped away (and I don't mean no longer allowing churches to get away with crap others can't)? No.

Sent to prison work camps for no reason? No.

Yep, Obama is so crappy he even sucks at being a tyrant! (/sarc)

As soon as your day begins to resemble One Day in the Life of Ivan Denisovich, then you can complain, until then, your cries are so much fluff.

"viner 2: Really? what rights have you lost?"
              "viner 1: no response"
              "viner 2: well?

              Easy.

Our right not to have to buy a product, like healthcare insurance. Our right to keep our healthcare decisions private.

How about our property rights, when he fines us for not buying insurance?

But worse than those are the things he isn't doing for us.

Like approving Keystone for jobs and less dependence on foreign oil.

Like not issuing drilling permits for years, until all rigs have left the gulf?

              Worst President in history.

I have to buy auto insurance....no problem with that? I WANTED a public option, but the extreme right threw a hissy-fit, so we got this cobbled together IMPROVEMENT, 30,000,000 more Americans have healthcare, what kind of jerk has a problem with that?!

What about when a conservative SC further empowers government via Eminent Domain? (I'd rather pay insurance than have my land taken as the conservative court approves)

Keystone was dangerous for our environment, and for the benefit if a CANADIAN company. It's not gone, they are going to re-plan the route, and propose it again, a DELAY.

Drilling permits? Seriously? We EXPORT oil now, and in case you forgot, we had a near destruction of the Gulf of Mexico! Don't remember? It's ok, just thank Obama for holding BP's feet to the fire.

Worst President?! Only if you pay ZERO attention to the facts or history.

              @Publius,

There's a universe of difference between making people buy insurance (a tenet of Obamacare I am completely against, as IMO the government ought not to force people to put more money into the pockets of Big Insurance, amongst other reasons) and having those same people rounded up and shot, gassed or worked literally to death for refusing to comply with a governmental directive.

Worst President in history? Well, time will tell on that one. Grant and Buchanan would be two hard acts to follow...but it's possible. But then again, if Richard frickin' Nixon was able to achieve a complete rehab on his reputation...

But Obama as some sort of ruthless and despotic political strongman? He's got some serious work to do on that score, because he's not even in the ballpark.

              Really.

You don't have to buy auto insurance. Don't buy a car.

Despite that, it is a state program.

Show me in the Constitution where the power to regulate healthcare is specifically enumerated.

I've been waiting for that answer for a while.

Now read the tenth amendment and tell me what it means.

I'll not hold my breath waiting for a coherant answer from you, not your fault I've seen law professors hem and haw on that one.

And . No surprise, you lie. We are by far a net importer of oil.

And the Keystone decision was a gift to the far left tree hugging whackos.

How many hundreds of thousands of miles of pipelines do we already have?

Congrats, your @!$%#ing moron of a President just helped the Chinese, and screwed us.

Anyone who still supports the idiot should probably wear a sign that says kick me.

Here we go again: the always false right wing claim that every single thing Congress does has the power to do has to be mentioned in the Constitution. It's silliness gone berserk. There's no constitutional mention of automobiles so where's the right to make, buy and drive such contraptions and spend trillions of dollars building interstate highways. Only dirt roads and maybe some cobblestoned ones were the only thing the founders had in mind when building and maintaining post roads was included in the enumerated powers. There's no mention of an air force or nuclear weapons. Does that make it unconstitutional for Congress to authorize the arming of this country with them? Gawwwd, even a right winger should see how utterly ridiculous this line of argument is. Even a below average right winger should be able to.

Wow, okay, I see I have some teaching to do. Pay attention class.

There is mention of roads in the Constitution. That covers the "horseless carriage"

Congress was given the power to apportion funds for post roads.

Congress was given tthe power to raise a military.

I can cite the exact phrases that do this.

Every left winger needs to educate themselves on the facts. The fact that you did not know the information I just gave you means that other leftists are probabgly just as ignorant of the Constitution.

Now that I've answered your questions, try answering mine.

Where is healthcare specifically enumenrated in the Constitution, and then read the tenth amendment and tell me what it means.

Quite a smple question. Care to try again with you newfound knowledge?

Ever been to a city? I have a number of friends that have no vehicle. I own a truck that I let them borrow from time to time when they want to move something big, and I drive whenever we go out. They use the Bus system, cabs, friends, and T-rex, our light rail system. So it is an option, for many.

And . No surprise, you lie. We are by far a net importer of oil.

Oil is a world market. By saying we export, you are trying to mislead, if you do not add that we are a net importer, by far, of oil.

So maybe calling it a lie is too much. Saying you were trying to mislead with your statement is not. Unless you didn't know, then I apologize and am happy that I helped you to get more knowledgable.

So letting someone buy private insurance will end liberty and freedom forever?

                Are you kidding?

To call this an insane and irrational diatribe from the depths of a mind suffering, it would seem, from rampant galloping clinical paranoia is a majestic understatement. Have Teapublicans finally lost all sense of reality? After 3 years of Barack Obama in the White House, their racist incoherence and emotionally neurotic prejudices seem finally to have taken over their thought centers and slaughtered all rationality.

                In short.......They've become a bunch of pure-bred LOONIES ! !
