Matt is hoping most of the dullards who take him seriously won’t actually watch the video and assume it is “selectively edited.” Anyone who watches the video knows what the video is about. I’m going to give Matt the benefit of the doubt and assume he’s not as stupid as his readers are. He knows what he’s trying to do.
He’s trying to make it seem impossible that Holder would take this concept of “brainwashing” people into being anti-gun and take it up a notch as Attorney General. Seeing as how his initial “brainwashing” campaign failed in DC, it wouldn’t be out of the realm of possibility for Holder to still think manipulation of public opinion was a useful goal while changing some of the tactics.
Like, for example, instead of doing the ad blitzes and the PR stuff, maybe they would create a crisis in Mexico that they could blame on lax gun laws in the US? Hmmm. Did Matt think of that? Of course he did. He’s not the stupid one, his readers are.
You have to give Media Matters credit. They really know their audience.
