“If nothing else, in 2016, the Republican Party should have just better political candidates out there making the run,” Lowry said.
He pointed to a strong field of possible GOP presidential contenders that included 2012 vice presidential candidate and Wisconsin Rep. Paul Ryan, Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker — and Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal.
Lowry described Jindal as “probably the single most-interesting Republican since the election, from what he’s been saying and what he’s been advocating in terms of the party re-orienting itself.”
